Abstract

ABSTRACT

This study aims to analyze the role of Sheikh Abdul Haq Muhaddith Dehlavi in the promotion and interpretation of Ilm-e-Dalail-un-Nubowah. It is a divine fact that the  Prophethood is the position which Allah Almighty has bestowed on His chosen personalities for the spiritual guidance and the betterment of humanity. To verify its truthfulness, the Prophets are awarded a large number of  intellectual arguments which are called Dalail-un-Nubowah. This is a branch of science related to Seerah and its main sources are Holy Qur'an and Sunnah. For the evolution of this specific knowledge, Muslim scholars have written many books in every phase of history and have introduced various aspects of it. Imam Shafi'i, Abu Daud, Tabarani, Ibn Manda, Abu Nuaim Asfahani and Bayhaqi have played their significant role in this regard. In subcontinent, Sheikh Abdul Haq Muhadis Dehlvi played an outstanding role in the development of the Ilm-e-Dalail-un-Nubowah. He studied various aspects of this branch of religious knowledge. He responded the objections related to prophethood and its related discussions. He wrote a reliable and splendid book called "Madarij al-Nabwa". It is very important to study and analyze the role of Sheikh Abdul Haq Muhaddith Dehlavi in ​​order to get acquainted with scholarly aspects of the Ilm-e-Dalail-un-Nubowah. This research paper is being formulated to fulfil this intellectual need.
