Abstract

Mirza Ghalib is a renowned poet of subcontinent. He is a pre-eminent poet of Urdu and Persian Literature of all the times. He was born in 1797 in Agra (Dehli). He started his poetry when he was 7 years old. He made worthy and esteemed contribution in Urdu and Persian Literature. He has all qualities to express inner feelings in verse as he explained love, sorrow and unreciprocated emotions like no one else did. Mirza Ghalib has versatility in his poetry. It is a false assumption that he was a poet of vine and love, the reality is contrary to it. This article will spread light on the Islamic thoughts and teachings that he mentioned in his poetry. It will be established with references that he has also done precious and valuable discussions on Islamic conceptions and perceptions. It is because of his matchless and elegant contributions in Urdu and Persian Literature that he is living in the heart of people till now.
