Abstract

Morality (Akhlaqiyat) reflects one’s actions and character and is fundamental to building a just and balanced society. Despite Islam’s strong emphasis on ethics, the contemporary Muslim world faces a serious moral decline. The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) declared that he was sent to perfect noble character, and his life serves as a timeless model of ethical excellence. This paper examines the core causes of this decline—such as weakened faith, materialism, negative media influence, lack of ethical education, and detachment from prophetic teachings—and explores their harmful effects on individuals and society .Using the Seerah of the Prophet (ﷺ) as a guiding framework, the study proposes practical steps for moral revival. It also draws attention to the moral strength displayed by Imam Hussain (R.A) and Sayida Zainab (R.A) during the tragedy of Karbala, showing how integrity and patience endure even in extreme adversity. Their examples underline the transformative power of prophetic ethics .The paper concludes that meaningful moral reform requires reconnecting with the values taught by the Prophet (ﷺ), promoting ethical role models, and fostering collective responsibility. A return to these principles is vital for restoring personal dignity, spiritual depth, and social harmony in today’s world.
