Abstract

Miraj (Ascension) is the eternal miracle of the Holy Prophet
(صلى الله عليه وسلم .(Its depth and magnanimity will be further realized with the
passage of time and new cosmic revelations will continue to emerge
and testify to the reality of the Miracle of Ascension. Every step
taken in the journey of evolution is advancing in the footprints of the
Journey of Ascension. The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم (said: I rose from Makkah
and rode Burraq and reached Bait ul Muqaddas. From there I
ascended to the heavens and from there to the Throne; so much so
that out of the bounds of the space-time continuum, where the fabric
of space converges. There, I witnessed The Absolute Beauty
(ALLAH) with my bare eyes; and met the previous prophets.
In this article, the event of Ascension has been explored. The
author has collected and included different understandings, posed by
contemporary and preceding writers, regarding the Ascension. The
author has deemed to create clarity and delineation about Ascension.
The results have been complemented with recommendations such as
the need of detailed and repeated exploration of Ascension. This is
how the truest meanings of the reality of such miraculous events will
be revealed completely.
