Abstract

ABSTRACT

From the beginning of creation, man has been facing various difficulties. Some of these are man-made while some are natural and creational. One of these problems is the current corona virus, which is shaking humanity. The corona virus has affected every aspect of life, including the society, economy, sports, education, individual and collective life. This situation has added new problems in every sphere of life for which the experts have come together to solve. This epidemic has also raised new questions in Islamic worshipping, for which Muftis have been seen striving for a religious solution. In this article an attempt has been made to give an introductory and analytical review of selected Urdu fatwas issued on worshipping during the Corona epidemic. It analyzes about seventy-one fatwas, including seven on the issue of sanitation, twenty-five on prayer (Salah), sixteen on fasting (Saum), three on zakat, four on funeral and burial, and sixteen on Hajj and Umrah. The aim is to raise awareness of   the jurisprudential services rendered by the Muftis in this epidemic and to provide religious guidance on the corona virus.
