Abstract

ABSTRACT

Each language, whether it is Arabic or Urdu, has some idioms and expressions used to honor someone, while few of them follow the grammatical rules as per routine. Plural words are used to show respect and dignity, if a person to be addressed is of high esteem however, if he is of low or equal esteem, in that case singular expression should be used.This way of expression is praiseworthy and admirable from every aspect for human being but we have to set different ways to show respect for Allah (S.W.T) considering oneness of God. This research paper deals with the Question; Are we supposed to use singular expressions for Allah (S.W.T) or we can use plural also showing dignity of Allah Almighty? What type of road map and guidance Quran gives us?
